In a polygon if we draw an extra line outside each vertex we will have this kind of figure:
The exterior angles and the interior angles form together a 180º angle:
We want to find what we would obtain if we add all the exterior angles ( red angles). If we put together all the exterior angles of a polygon we would obtain a circle:
A circle represents a 360º always, then the addition of the exterior angles of any polygon is 360º
