Women played a major role in the events leading up to the French Revolution, but traditional historical narratives tend to focus on the exploits of famous
men. Why do you think that is the case?
Traditionally we live in a patriarchal society where the focus is put on men. Going back to when the written word was first invented, it was men who controlled the language and therefore men who controlled the knowledge that was released and spread.
