(5,2) and (0,2)
you really want to think of a function as a vending machine. if you selected B12 on a vending machine and got chips, the only thing that you should be getting is chips. B12 represents x, the input value, and the chips represent y, the output value. one input value can only have one output value. in this scenario, we can say that (5,2) is a function because we don’t have another 5 as an input value.
(0,2) is not an example of an input output value because we already have 0 as an input which would make it have two output values which is not possible. if you pressed B12 and got a drink even though you just got chips from it, that would not be a function.
