Narrative poems tell whole stories so they can have all elements in a story; including subplots, conflicts, resolutions and of course characters who drive the story.
A narrative poem contains all of these, as it’s a type of poem to tell a story. Stories need conflict, resolutions and characters. Sub plots appear in longer narrative poems.
