Every country has their own battle strategy. The strategy uses by both Romans and Greek are below;
- Greek Battle Strategy is that they have all soldiers to have moving as a one unit.
- Roman Battle Strategy is that they divide the big or large group of Soldiers into legions and other smaller subgroups. The subgroups are known to have a specific tall pole with a specific symbol on it. They also use shield-wall formation.

A combat formation that is said to be used by the Greeks and Romans was the phalanx. Here, the soldiers are known to be standing side by side based on their ranks.
Roman battle strategy is called the testudo in English, it means a “tortoise”. It is known to be a shield-wall formation that was was commonly used by the Roman.
