Organelles
- Prokaryotes do not have membrane- bound organelles.
- Eukaryotes contain membrane-bound cell organelles.
Nuclear membrane, nucleus and DNA
- Prokaryotes do not have a well-defined nuclear membrane. The coiled DNA particles lies naked in the cytoplasm. Such a structure is called nucleoid or incipient nucleus.
- Eukaryotes have a well-defined nuclear membrane around the nucleus within which the DNA lies.
