Once the race had been completed, the students opened their canisters to see if anything remained inside. They wanted to decide if they should modify their techniques for another race. Designs 1, 2, and 3 all still had some solid Alka-Selzter residue in the canister. Design 4 did not. The teacher asked the students to analyze their results as an engineer would.
