3x + 12 - 10 = 2x + 8
3x + 2 = 2x + 8
5x + 2 = 8
5x = 6
X = 6/5

Answer :

3(x+4)-10 = 1/10 (4x+16)
3x+12-10 = 1/10*2 (2x+8)
3x+2 = 1/5* (2x+8)
3x+2 = 2/5x + 8/5
15x+10 = 2x+8
15x-2x=8-10
13x = -2
x = -2/13
She made her mistake when she forgot about the 1/10 and didn’t include it
