3. Decomposers are organisms that obtain energy by breaking down dead matter and recycling the nutrients back into the soil. Decomposers are often left out of food chains and food webs. However, they are essential to life on Earth. What would happen if there were no decomposers?

If we didn't have decomposers, the waste left from the food we eat and what the wolves and stuff eat would grow into a problem, we would have ( i think) a mess or something

If decomposers are not there then:-

The dead leaves, insects and other organisms would pile up everywhere.
Vital nutrients that are available in ecosystem will not be there.
There will be no recycling of matter between biotic and abiotic components of an ecosystem.

What are decomposer?

These are various organisms that return constituents of organic substances to ecological substance to ecological cycles by feeding on them.
These include Yeast, Molds, Mushrooms.
