Three/Fifths Compromise was created due to the Southern colonies taking advantage of them having so much slaves therefore they declared that slaves should be counted to be part of people that can vote. But Northern colonies was against that statement for they don’t own as much slaves as them, therefore they agree that slaves would be counted, but only if 3/5 (5 slaves=3 votes instead of 5 votes) would be applied.
