We live in a more or less ordered society because throughout the thousands of years that humans have been around, we slowly found that being in a civilization or large group is a lot safer, healthier, and easier than being by yourself. We've also slowly made society more and more ordered because as society develops and evolves, so does the social structure of civilazation. As we are able to do things easier, humans have to become more ordered to accommodate for that growth.
